LIFE LIVING TESTIMONY!
Thru the years serving in the Lord's vineyard, together -Ely and Zeny- have been consuming their lives raising children, sharing and teens, youths, men and women for the Lord.
Ely Sarmiento was just a little boy when he lived with us; grew up with us until he was a young man, taking up engineering; only one semester to finish in early 1980s he felt the call of God in his life.
Not long in1973 after I left my job in Makati Supermart, I bumped to Zeny in the Christ to the Philippines under the dedicated tutelage couple Harold and Dayan McDougal. She with others left their young college years, went to Harold and Dayan McDougal rigorous 'Hard Knocks' short-term 'Christ To the Philippines' Bible training (My wife and I with our young children, owed our lives to that training). This training sent them to all parts of the Philippines and to some foreign lands; Zeny went to the US and came back after years steering churches once again to the Lord.
Borrowing Paul's words "that in great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded," they abandoned the glittering worldly potentials and opportunities, (I bear as eyewitness,) "that according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability, they willingly, yes more than willingly have been giving themselves to reaching the 'Neglected Masses of the city of Metro-Manila Philippine,' raising them up for the Light of the Lord; together they are raising their only son, Jeremiah (RN) and wife, Annmarie with their two grand kids in serving the Lord.

Yesterday March 26, 2017, in an overflowing wall-to-wall congregation, my beloved wife gave her moving life's testimony in financially supporting for thirteen solid years her parents and her siblings. Through the years, several went to college because of her love and sacrificial financial support; two (Joel and Ely) are pastors of local churches.
